Course Syllabus
Welcome to your Chemistry course! This course covers the properties of matter, phase changes and gas laws, solutions, thermodynamics and reaction kinetics, equilibrium, and chemical applications.
This course is made up of six units. Within each lesson of a unit, you will learn and practice the information in a variety of ways. Some activities are graded, while others are not. Please make sure to ask your teacher about course guidelines and grading policies.
Course Objectives
- Explain the effects of energy on the properties of matter.
- Use molecular models to explain and predict the behaviors of different substances.
- Apply scientific processes to conduct investigations.
- Examine how investigations in chemistry are important to gaining historical perspective and understanding the societal value of scientific advances.
