• Understand brief spoken conversations.
• Recognize basic practices, products, and perspectives of various Spanish-speaking cultures.
• Write short messages related to everyday life.
• Recognize and compare words and grammatical structures of the target language with their own language.
• Identify cultural connections between the United States and various Spanish-speaking cultures.
• Practice speaking with proper pronunciation and intonation.
