Course Introduction Transcript
Welcome to Personal Fitness A! In this course, you'll explore key concepts that will help you hone your athletic abilities in combative sports, team sports, and gymnastics and tumbling. You’ll focus first on fitness guidelines, motor skill development, and simple and complex movements. From there, you’ll learn about developing strategies and tactics and putting together game plans, as well as giving and using feedback to improve your skills.
You’ll take a look at grit, motivation, flow, and focus, as well as other important physical, emotional, and cognitive factors that affect performance. Finally, you’ll put all these together to build a program to help you achieve your personal performance goals.
This is your chance to discover physical activities that you enjoy that will continually challenge you, no matter your abilities. Always stay safe when exercising or doing sports, but keep a positive attitude and you’re sure to have fun, too!
