Welcome to MS Physical Science (1 of 2)! This course focuses on science concepts from the fields of chemistry, biology, and ecology. MS Physical Science (1 of 2) begins by exploring the relationship between matter and energy. Next, the course dives into chemical reactions. You can then use your knowledge of matter, energy, and chemical reactions to tackle cellular respiration and photosynthesis. Lastly, you will uncover the world of synthetic materials to see how they are made and how they impact society.
This course is made up of six units, each with five lessons. Within each lesson, you will learn and practice the information in a variety of ways. Some activities are graded, while others are not. Please make sure to ask your teacher about course guidelines and grading policies.
Read How to Use this Course to learn more about each of the activity types.
Note: Some activities in this course recommend that you write your answers in your notes. Your notes can be written in a personal notebook or as a computer document. Taking notes will keep you on track during the course and help you process what you are learning.
Course Objectives:
- Apply scientific processes to conduct investigations.
- Use logical thinking to identify relationships and draw conclusions.
- Evaluate topics in chemistry, biology, and ecology to better understand matter, energy, chemical reactions, cellular respiration, photosynthesis, and synthetic materials.
