Turnitin & Revision Assistant

Each essay will be written using Turnitin's Revision Assistant (RA).  RA helps you improve your writing by providing instant feedback, called a Signal Check, as you write your response to the prompt.  Then, RA guides you through revising your work and allows you to request as many Signal Checks as you need before you electronically turn your essay in.  As you revise, you'll see highlighted portions of your essay that could be improved and comments on how to make the highlighted portions better.  You are also allowed three (3) opportunities to run a “Proofread” check to correct spelling/grammatical errors. Consider Revision Assistant as your guide to better writing. I

Attendance: You must log in each week and complete the assigned work. Students not logging in for 2 consecutive weeks, will have their ES and parent notified.  The Truancy Policy applies to Canvas courses.

*If there are extenuating circumstances in which allowances may be made. Examples of extenuating circumstances: car accident, sudden illness, etc.

Getting Help

Questions about the course, course content, workbook, etc. should be sent to the instructor via Canvas email (located in the left-hand menu). If you try to send an email to the instructor’s email address from an external email address (any email address/account other than your school Gmail account) you run the risk of having it blocked as SPAM email and it will be delayed several days if it arrives at all.
